For us, fishing isn’t just a job - it’s a way of life.

Few people feel the sea as a true calling, but we’re proud to carry that tradition forward

Fresh Sea Bass - Russell's Plaice Christchurch

Rowing Boat

A traditional vessel for close-to-shore fishing.

⚓️

At Russell’s Plaice, we do things the right way – with care, skill, and respect for the sea.

Our boats head out to sea, where we fish sustainably using rod and line and small nets. This means minimal impact on the environment and maximum quality in every catch. We focus on quality over quantity, choosing prime spots and landing only what is needed.

Every catch is handled with care from sea to shore. Once landed, it’s cleaned, prepped, and chilled immediately to lock in freshness.

Because we fish ourselves, we can guarantee the quality – fresh from our boats, bringing you seafood as honest and fresh as it gets.

The Boats That Built Us
